Welcome, fellow traveler.
These words are written for pilgrims… for those who walk among the ruins of a broken world, yet still turn their eyes toward the horizon of God’s promises. I write to keep watch, to share bread for the journey, and to remind us both that the Presence walks with us here.
My own road has not been straight nor smooth. I have known seasons of sorrow and wonder, of doubt and renewal. Along the way, I have discovered that faith is not a fortress but a path — sometimes narrow, sometimes steep, yet always held by the love of Christ.
The meditations you find here are not arguments to win or programs to follow. They are attempts at honesty: about the ache of being human, about the vanity under the sun, about the hope that rises even so. Each one is a waymark – a quiet marker set down along the trail, not to command the way, but to say: “someone else has walked here too.” These waymarks do not promise resolution, but they do offer orientation – moments of presence, pause, and remembrance that the path continues, and Christ walks with us still.
Each page is also accompanied by visual art – images I’ve created using AI tools, thoughtfully crafted and placed to echo the spirit of the writing. They are not decoration, but invitation… to slow down, to wonder, to see the unseen layers beneath the words. Like the texts they accompany, these images are meant to serve the journey, not to impress, but to help you behold.
I offer these pages, these ‘waymarks’, freely. If they have been of value to your pilgrimage, know that your presence here is already a gift. And if you wish to go further – through prayer, conversation, or by placing something in this Pilgrim’s Purse – I receive it with gratitude.
My name is Shea Eugene. I am a pilgrim with a pencil, grateful to walk a little way with you.
May the Lord bless and keep you. May His light be your lamp in the ruins, His love your song in the night.
Every hard journey is eased by good companions, and your steps alongside mine are a gift to me.
Should you wish, you may contribute some coin to the Pilgrim’s Purse.
